Rest assured, it is all the same company offering the highest quality training in behavioral health with personalized customer service.
Atheneum Learning is providing Navy Medicine with the most advanced online training program in evidence-based, cognitive behavior therapy, The Flexible CBT Approach. You will find it is applicable to the wide range of patients that Navy Medicine clinicians encounter, be they active service men and women, or their families.
The author, and designer of the online training program, is Edmund Neuhaus, PhD, ABPP, a board certified psychologist who developed Flexible CBT during his 20 years of directing clinical programs, teaching, and research at a major psychiatric teaching hospital of Harvard Medical School. Dr. Neuhaus has created a system that flexibly adapts evidence-based knowledge for effective real world practice. The goal of treatment is to improve a patient’s functioning by matching treatment interventions to specific problems.
If you have a question on how to apply this treatment in particular context, please contact Dr. Neuhaus directly: eneuhaus@atheneumlearning.com
The objectives of the training are for clinicians to learn: 1) core principles of CBT for assessment and treatment of patients suffering from mood, anxiety, and stress related disorders—or combinations thereof; 2) evidence-based techniques of skills-training and psychoeducation; and, 3) the system of flexible decision-making to optimize the matching of treatment to patients.
The Flexible CBT online training program is organized into three modules. You will quickly become facile with navigating through modules and engaging in the interactive, multi-media, e-learning format. There are also learning games that will enhance your memory and comprehension. Play the games often to improve your knowledge and skills to deliver effective CBT treatment.
