TRi Behavioral is now Atheneum Learning
2009 has been a year of expansion.
The founder, Ed Neuhaus, and his board of advisors, decided to rename the company Atheneum Learning to reflect its broader vision for online publishing. Atheneum refers to a sacred place dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, originally named by the ancient Greeks after Athena, the goddess of wisdom.
Ed Neuhaus founded the company with his prototype product, the online textbook and training program for cognitive behavior therapy which directly informed the name TRi Behavioral—the CBT Triangle of thoughts, feelings, and behaviors, combined with Behavioral, in reference to Behavioral Health. In this next stage of development as a company, our name, Atheneum Learning captures the essence of our dedication to foundational knowledge across a wider spectrum of content, all grounded in research AND adapted for real world practice to meet the public health demands of society. We strive to be the gold-standard of online education and training in psychology, psychiatry, and neuroscience. Our mission is to design training curricula that creatively match technology with content, which in turn optimize learning, comprehension, and competency.
